How can I turn off the highlighting of words?

Does anyone on staff know how to turn off the highlighting and underlining of words in my posts? Or is this something that must be there?

The highlighting is something that is done automatically by the program. It cannot be turned off, and in some instances people find it handy to use those highlights to find definitions of the words or perhaps a source of the item highlighted.
