  • Dual Pane window question..

I have 1 dual pane window in my house that on very cold mornings has a small amount of condensation on the inside/bottom of it.. What does this indicate?

that the inert gas inside has a leak and air condensation is forming.

It depends what you mean by "inside". If you mean inside the IG (in between the glass) then yes Hayzee is right that the seal has failed.

If you mean "inside" the house, it's due to high humidity in the house - and has nothing really to do with the window.

      Which is it?

Where in the house is it located?

Replace the IGU..Insulating Glass Units....that gets the moisture between glass planes. After some time this moisture will stain your glass with water spots if left unchecked.

Insulated glass can fail anywhere from 5 to 20 years. You do not need to replace the whole window but just the insulated glass. You should easily be able to find a local contractor to replace the glass for you (do not let them sell you on buying replacement windows).
