finding gas shut off valve

i need to remove an old gas stove out of a house and cap off the old gas line. the stove is built into the wall. Removing the stove shouldn't be a problem. i just need to know if the shutoff valve is behind the stove itself and need to pull the stove out first.

be very careful and see if its hard piped. if it is then the pipe would be in the basement with a shutoff. if there is a flex line it would be coiled up behind the range.

alright thanks. the house dose not have a basement, however there is an utility room right next to it, ill check in there for a hard pipe the next time i get to the house.
