    Kenmore Dryer does not heat

It just stopped workings. It is an older unit. I read through the forum some and checked a few things. The element tests OK(10ohms). Then I got to the thermostats and high limit switch. I had a question about these. The the two thermostats(2) and the high limit(1) are marked on the picture where they are located. The two thermostats(2) have continuity, but the high limit(1) is open. Is this how they are suppose to be? If so, what should I look at checking next?

The high limit switch is a normally closed-open on rise thermostat.

When the dryer is off or cold the high limit should be closed and showing full continuity.

        Wanted to follow-up...

I did change the switch on this, I had to get a kit which
had both in it. It was like $30 and fixed it up nice.
Working like new again. Not bad considering its about 13yrs old

        Thanks,
