** magic chef gas stove with oven and there is no spark or clicking sound. **
I assume, "there is no spark or clicking sound" ... when using the surface burners?
Is the oven working? If not, make sure power is getting to the appliance.
JFYI

** yes the oven does work **
If just all the surface burners stopped sparking and at the same time, the range's spark module (see the following link) may have failed and need to be replaced or there may be a problem with the power supply to it.

I just ran into a similar circumstance on my sisters gas range today.
I checked the output power from the igniter transformer and found it had the correct output power however it was not getting power to the burner igniters. I then suspected their must be a break in the wire somewhere so I traced the wire from the transformer to the top of the range.
I discovered that they had recently had the top of the range open for cleaning and during the cleaning process the wire got in between the range cabinet and the underside of the range top, which then pinched the wire when the top was closed. The pinch was sufficient to break the internal conductor but not cut the insulation so on visual inspection the wire appeared ok. I cut the wire open at the pinched section and reconnected it with crimp on Butt connector and all was well again.

Such a failure can cause a technician to pull his hair out. Good work in finding it!
Those ignitor wires insulation can also melt and allow sparking to ground instead of where it is suppose to spark.
BTW. Did the range stop clicking? I though the spark modules would still make some sound as long as being powered?
