  • Icemaker doesn't work

Help, please. My icemaker stopped months ago in a three-year old stainless refrigerator. I was told the water pipes underneath it could be frozen. I've tried turning the refrigerator and freezer off for a day and also turned the icemaker button off for many days. Thoughts?

I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its brand name and exact model number as the forum instructions requested.

If you post it we can at least look it up to see what appliance design you're dealing with to maybe suggest possible causes.

You mean the water line going to the fridge or the water lines inside the fridge?

The water lines inside the fridge would require the internal refrigerator temperatures to rise. That might not occur by just turning it off for 24 hours. The doors might also need to be left open for that duration as well.
