  • Small Refrigerator Problem

    I have a small Danby 1.7 Cu Ft Refrigerator / Freezer in my shop to keep my beverages cold. It worked great until I defrosted it. When I started to put things back into it, I noticed a small copper tube hanging down in the back of the interior of the unit. I don't know where it came from or where it goes... I just left it hanging but now everything freezes in the compartment.(even when thermostat is set to low). Where does this tube go? It was attached someplace as it looks as though there was some type of glue in the end of it.. I have attached a picture to explain what I am talking about.. Help Please... Frozen Beer or Pepsi is hard to drink...

    that's the thermostat. it fastens to the tubing of the evaporator [freezer coils]

      it goes in that wrapping right above where it is hanging. paul

        As Paul said, it looks to just tuck into the sleeve at the base of the evaporator (cooling) coil. See the green arrow in this picture:
