    Electric water heater....

    Which is more economical? Keep the heater at max temp and allow smaller amount of cold water when using or keeping it lower temp and allowing more cooler water in when using?

      keep the lower element "stat" at a slightly higher setting than the upper one. the lower gets the cold water first.
