I have a light fixture that says it can use a 60-watt maximum bulb. It seems that a typical 13W CFL is the equivalent of 60 watts of incandescent light. What is the maximum bulb wattage I can use if I install a CFL bulb? Thank you.

It would be still 60 watts as wattage is a power rating not light output, lumens is light output. you can increase the comparable lumens just do not exceed the the 60 watt maximum power rating.Last edited by akaothermick; 10-31-2018, 08:25 PM.

Here's a comparison table, that includes LED wattage as well as CFL, for a range of lumens. From Viribright dot com website, (forum won't let me post link),
Lumens (Brightness) LED Watts (Viribright) CFL Watts Incandescent Watts 400 – 500 6 – 7W 8 – 12W 40W 650 – 850 7 – 10W 13 – 18W 60W 1000 – 1400 12 – 13W 18 – 22W 75W 1450-1700+ 14 – 20W 23 – 30W 100W 2700+ 25 – 28W 30 – 55W 150W
