    installing eye bolt

What does the eye bolt have to attach to for a 200 amp service. Can you just screw it into the wall studs? I've been told you have to tie it into the ceiling beams. Is this correct?

The so-called "house-hook" is an eyebolt about 14 inches long with 5/8-16 thread, two washers and two nuts. It goes from the outside finish wall through the stud space and through a horizontal framing member. There is is brought up tight with nuts. The horizontal service conductors are attached to the house via the ground messenger cable with a wedge type anchor that tightens as more tension is applied. The service entrance conductors go through a service entrance weatherhead and are tied to the service lateral applied by the power company.
