  • Halogn Motion Light - operation

I have about a 8 year old Halogen Motion Light in my carport... It works fine but that is the problem.. No matter how much you adjust it, the light comes on everytime we enter the carport which is many, many times a day during the daylight hours.. The area that it is mounted in doesn't receive full sunlight but isn't that dark or dim.. The sales person at HD said the newer motion lights that are out now would work fine in this situation and stay off during the daylight hours, while another salesperson at Lowes said that I just had to live with this problem... Before I spend any more $$$, would the newer lights and sensors work in my situation?

the older motion sensors gave you the option of using the photocell mounted remotely of the fixture. the newer fixtures use an integral photocell but is more sensitive than the older styles. so if the lights on so many times even in daylight is bugging you replace it with a newer version.
