How to lay carpet

Hmmm..read through that but something isn't real clear. I'm doing a simple 10x12 room. When I'm ready to put the carpet down.... I first set 2 walls exact...tap down and tuck...THEN stretch to the other 2 walls and trim/tap/tuck correct?
