    New Thread

I am getting ready to lay down new threads and risers. My question is...I want my stairs to look nice without the nail marks. How can I complete this job without showing the nail marks? Thanks for you help. Terry

Unless you have access to the back of the stairs the only way is to use "liquid nails adhesive" and make sure its completely dry before you use them or they will slide all over the place.

You could also use finishing nails and use a color matched wood filler to fill in the nail holes.

        Stair tread....

Use a dowel locating tool. You can very accurately locate where the holes are with them. Drill only half or 3/4 way through stair underside as well as the riser, insert glue smeared dowel pins along with the glue HayZee mentioned, and you're good to go.
