  • Tiling converted garage -cement floor

My husband moved his home office into a converted garage we've been making suitable. I'd like advice on:
    1. How best to remove carpet tile glue from the cement floor.
    2. Do we need to seal the concrete before tiling the floor. We will be putting down saltillo tile.

    Advice is appreciated

carpet tile glue is tough to remove. a solvent may soften it enough to use a stiff scraper to get rid of it. an angle grinder may be your best bet - dusty but it'll take it off. new tile doesn't need the base to be sealed. use a quickset mortar for your tiles.

      removing glue

total pain job...look into a power scraper at home depot rental.

you may be able to tile over the glue with versabond flex modified thinset
