  • Bryant MAV550 not working, errors help please!

    Hello,

I have a bryant Plus 90 model MAV550 that just stopped working. I managed to find the manual and found that if I turn the power switch off and then back on, the furnace blower kicks on but doesnt do anything else. It gives an error 12, then after about a minute or so, it turns off and the exhaust blower kicks in while giving an error 31. This morning I woke up and the heater was running fine for awhile, but with my honeywell programable thermostat set to 75 F, it was reading only 68 F temperature in the house. After it ran for about 30 minutes, it cut off and nothing more. I checked the errors and it was giving error 31. Can someone please give me some ideas as to what I should be looking at? I am mechanically inclined, but surely no pro.

    Thanks in advance.....

    Mike

update infor on Bryant PLus 90 error

I read to remove the pressure switch tubing and blow it out. So I removed the T line off the top of the pressure switch to the gas relay and combustion chamber. Blew them out and all seemed fine. I took the lower tubing off from the pressure switch and blew it to hear gurgling water??? Is that supposed to be there? Anyhow, hooked all tubing back up and power cycled the furnace. The furnace fan powered up with error 12, then after a minute or so, again the exhaust fan kicked in, then the furnace ignited and is working now. Not sure how long it will work, but will be watching it. Does this mean perhaps my pressure switch is bad?

    Responses welcome!

    Thanks.....

We try to help you out here, but i do not have the books for all the furnaces made so it would help if you look in your book and tell us what these error are
You do have water in the chamber where the one pressure switch connects.
If your drain gets plugged the pressure switch turn off furnace. Check your drains for kinked hose or blockage. Paul
