  • Boiler leak or just condensation

I noticed recently that once in a while my oil boiler leaks water on the floor not much but I am concerned sometimes when I run my hand under the right side of the bottom of the boiler lip I feel a little water is this a problem or normal condensation from turning the heat on and off?

that depends on your ambient temperature if it is cooler or warmer that the temperature of the boiler. just like in the summer, you get sweat on a glass with cool water and a hot ambient temp.
may be the same with the boiler jacket - or - you may have a boiler leak.
does your heat exchanger have boiler tubes inside? could be one of the tubes are leaking just a little.

So basically if the boiler in hot and the room it is in is cool there can and will be slight condensation?

        condensation

yes it is possible but unlikely because the boiler and associated piping adds to the ambient where the boiler is located
