  • fuse in air handler blowing

I have a carrier heat pump. Yesterday morning it ran fine in the cooling mode. Last night I noticed it was getting warm in the house so I went to see what was going on. The t-stat screen was blank. I made sure I had voltage and I pulled the fuse and it was blown. I put a new one in and the unit came on for a minute and blew again. I disconnected the tstat and connected red and green and I my fan came on so I connected the yellow for the contactor and It blew again. I changed the contactor and the problem is still happening. I looked at the wiring diagram and I believe it goes to a humidifier relay I have no idea how to test it. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

You dont say what fuse where? Yes R to G should turn on just indoor blower. R to Y should turn on compressor. R to W should give you heat. You can have lots to look at here on the heatpump. check and see if the capacitors are good if so ring out the compressor and see if its ok. check and see if all wire's in the unit or ok. put a Amprobe on the unit and see what it reads
