    leaking ac hi pressure discharge line

    i have a leaking hi-pressure discharge line. it is aluminum with a copper line solder into it. is there anyway to repair it

    Call a hvac tech to work on it you have to be EPA to work with the freon and have all the tools you need to pump it down and vacuum it out. Dont run the unit till fixed . can just run inside fan,

      i am being told you cannot solder al. is this true. or do i need another tech

        That right. I think you are going to have to get a new coil there. How old is the AC??? if its over 12 years get a whole new set up. Dont put $$$ into this one.Inside coil and the outdoor condenser unit.
        With a SEER from 12 to 16.
