  • stainless steel vs. aluminised steel HE

it seems to me stainless is more expensive and best reisisting corrosion so if a mfg. changes it`s based on cost. the HE (heat exchanger) is prone to corrosion and cracking so is stainless still best?

What ever ,Id still go for the one with the best warranty.
If you check Train has a aluminized steel heat exchanger. With a lifetime limited warranty.

I would think that aluminum would work better in a heat exchange program in an evaporator. Stainless, while excellant in a corrosive atmosphere may have problems in readily giving off or taking in heat.
