we remodeled our living room and want to replace our front door w a steel insulated door to help w heat because the one on there now is from about 1960 (LOOKS LIKE) and it gets sooo cold!!! so here is my question...MY dh seems to think it will be ok to buy the door and keep the existing frame...just buy a door to fit (32in)...will this be good enough or will we have to put in a brand new frame too...any info would be great!

If the existing door is a full 32" and the frame is both square and in good repair you should have no problem just changing the door, however, if the frame is even slightly out of square, or if the existing door shows evidence that it was planed to fit you might run into a problem installing a steel door in that frame as you can not plane a steel door to make up the slight imperfections.
