I have Q for the filter of my furnace.

When I checked furnace manual, I found it recommand a filter capable of 600 CFM air blow rate.( it is 10 years old Heil Furnace). WhenI gotO ACE, I found no filter lists their capacity CFM. Does it mean there is no concern for CFM capacity anymore if the filter size is right?

    My filter size: 16x25x1

Primarily the CFM rating is used by the installer to determine the proper duct sizing. In turn, air filters are manufactured to standards that insure they will not adversely deminish the flow rate, provinding the filter is changed regularly and installed properly.

Like said get one that will fit. We tell people to get one of the pleated kind with a MERV rating about 5 that works the best. To high a MERV # on the filter will slow the air down. There also is a filter spray you can put on the intake side of them that helps some. besure and put a new one in every 30 to 90 days
