got a old rheem gas furnace. recently the fan has been short cycleing. the burner remains on. fan runs for about 1 minute quits and about 1.5 starts back up.

Check the fan limit switch in the plenum. When the plenum heats up the fan turns on, cools down shuts off. Could be the differential between on and off is too tight. -

Might check the fan motor. Some have an overload inside them for when the motor starts to go bad. You can jump the fan control and if it still does it you need a new blower motor.
