no ignition startup on carrier 8000

Returned from holiday to cold house . Electronic ignition will not activate to spark gas. Call technician or easy repair? Carrier Weathermaker 8000.Please help... getting colder.

First, the easy, but often overlooked items. Is the unit's power breaker ON? Are the thermostat's Batteries ok? Is the MAIN gas valve on? Is the gas valve at the unit On? Post back with info for further advice, Hube

replaced igniter. All as back in opperation
