  • Baseboard Hot Water Covers

My heating system is forced hot water in baseboard units. In a couple of our rooms the covers over the elements have gotten beaten up and rusted. We would like to replace them. Can anyone point me in the direction of a supplier for these things? I've looked on the net but didn't find anything except custom, highly decorative and thus expensive, covers.

    Thanks
    Ken

      HZ,

I have no idea of the make, the house is 44 years old. The working part of these baseboards have ~3/4" copper pipe with 2 1/2" square aluminum fins. The "cover units" are 8" tall with a gap at the floor and a gap at the top of the front, for air circulation.

      Would a picture help?

      Thanks
      Ken

because this is an after market product you almost have to buy a special item. however check out this site. they charge by the foot but 8 bucks for a decorative cover doesn't seem bad. if you had a spot welder a press brake [or access to one] making some wouldn't be that hard.
