  • Furance is blowing Luke warm air when heating

My furance is a Comfortmaker, believe it was manufactured in 2007, so its fairly new. For some reason it blows luke warm air when heating my house. Light on the furnance blinks steady so it tells me here are not diagnositic codes and it should be functioning normally. I know my filter might need to be changed but I wouldn't think that would keep it form heating. Everything seems to kick on like it should. The blower, exhaust fan and the two burners heat up. I tripped my A/C unit on my breaker box to make sure that wasn't part of my problem. My thermostat seems to control to the temperature I set it to. Could this be a faulty thermocouple? Its been a tight year, so I'm just like anyone else not wanting to call anyone out to look at it. My house is staying warm for the most part so i'm not freezing to death but would be awesome to eventually fix it.

if the thermocouple wasn't working the main gas valve wouldn't open. check your cold air return paths to the furnace. change the filter. if the furnace is starving for make-up air not much heat would travel through the duct lines.

Is this a problem that has just started or has it been there since new?
Have you checked all your duct work, in attic and craw holes to see if they
are together and tight.? Is your furnace a two stage and maybe not coming
on to the second stage?. Check out side to make sure there is no ice buildup
around the LP or nat. gas regulator. After changing your air filter, do you have the same air flow that you have had other years?. When you are calling for heat is your burner staying on, or is it going off and on?. Gas valves can slip and not pass the right amount of pressure to fire the furnace to proper BTU. inputs. Let me know after you have checked these thing. Later Paul
