I have a Norton Broan 21B20M electric furnace that's about 3 years old. I recently turned the heat on and after a week or so, I noticed that it started to blow warm air all the time (even when its warmer in the house than what the thermostat is set to). I now have the thermostat set to OFF and warm air is still coming through the vents, not allot but you can feel some warm air. Its not the fan - I have that set to automatic, and when I click it to ON on the thermostat, you can hear the fan fire up. Also the thermostat light on the furnace is not lit, my owners manual says if its not lit, its an issue with the furnace and not the thermostat. I decided to turn the furnace breaker off for now.
Anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I don't really know much about furnaces, but am fairly handy and hope I can fix this myself without calling a repair guy. Any suggestions what to check or replace? Could it be the bottom sequencer? I don't have a voltmeter on hand though to check. I had a repair guy here a few months back that was suppose to have fixed this very same problem (and apparently did), but now its back again
