  • furnaCE wont run brand new

    brand new nortron thermostat is 24v 2 wire using r and w hookups manuel says the green lite isnt on its the wiring and or thermostat im on the 3rd new thermostat , the wiring was pre existing im installing the thermostat 2 feet away from the unit and still nothing the blower turns on if you flip the switch to low speed but thats its, nothing stupid like a reset switch anywhere eh. the green thermostat lite does not lite up please help very cool up here thanks

    Is the furnace new or just the stats? Jump the two post at the furnace R&W
    and see if it fires and run ok. If it does than you will know it is the wires or stat.

      paul, brand new t stats and furnace jumped the furnace r and w with 1 wire and nothing there is a green pilot lite that says thermostat on the outside it does not lite up the manuel says if it dont come on its a wiring oe t stat problem but we just eliminated that right

        If this is a new furnace, when you was playing with the stat wires you might have blow en a fuse, On your electronic board in your furnace there is a small
        3 amp plug in fuse like the cars use. check this out. Its just for the 24 volts.
