Monitor 422 Chamber Rebuild

Hi:

Rebuilt the chamber on my 422 yesterday. Just how much is this thing going to stink when I (hopefully) fire it up???? Probably should leave 1 of the garage doors open????

Just Fired It Up!!!!

Hi:

Opened a garage door & fired it up. Had some yellow flames in the window for a minute or two, probably some stuff burning off, & then it settled down. Running on high I see the burn ring glowing red with a nice blue flame around the perimeter - assuming this is good. The smell is definitely there but not really too bad. Will let it run like this for a hour or so & then I should be able to close the door......

Update

Well, 2 days later & it's still working GREAT!!!! Really was a pretty straightforward "nuts & bolts" job, not a mind-bender at all.....
