  • Monitor Heater 441 giving off fumes

The heater is working good, but I can smell exhaust fumes coming from it. I can't tell where it's coming from but can smell fumes from the front of the heater when it's in operation. The exhaust pipe is tight, so it's not that.

    gaskets

then all it can be is gaskets or burnt fuel escaping around the panel screws.
if you had removed any view window or larger panel screws then use a bit of stove cement around the screw heads and turn back down.
the combustion pot is a sealed unit [with gaskets]

I have had the entire combustion chamber out and replaced some gaskets. They seem to be made of fragile material and are expensive. Where do you purchase the sheet of gasket material? I'll see if I can find stove cement, too. Thanks!

        cement

any good hardware store will carry RUTLAND #77 cement
Gaskets can be gotten from McMaster-Carr industrial supply.
You'll have to look amongst several posts here for the stock number of the gasket sheet goods.
a three foot by one foot piece should last a lifetime and only costs about eleven bucks.
