Hello,
I have problem with my heater and I appreciate any help. I am in Maine, in a middle of winter and I was out of heat for over week.
The problem is the heater ignites during low heat, blower fan runs and blue flames, burner lights on at half bars. When the circ. fan kicks in for high heat, it shuts right off and burner lights at full bars flashes. So far, I have checked the hoses, intake air hoses, cleaned the flame sensor ( is the flame sensor for GF500 points straight in? I read that model 441 is pointed down in the pot)., I happened to find an air pressure switch on Ebay and replaced it. The problem still exists. The only thing I did not do is to clean the exhaust, since it required the propane to be disconnected and afraid that I may need gaskets to replace. I looked at the exhaust from outside of the house and it looks ok without much soot. Please help. Thanks in advance.
