unplug the heater. shut off the fuel at the tank or rear of the heater. make a foil trough and place under the casting on the right lower part of the side. remove the LARGE screw to drain fuel from sump. Remove the two smaller screws and take off the plate and gasket. pull out the filter and wash off with GUMOUT. shake it dry and replace it. re-install the plate and rubber gasket. Replace the large screw with the small O ring and tighten. Re-establish fuel flow allow a few min to fill . Plug heater back in. Press the RED button to reset the unit lockout. Start heater. EE-13 indicates no fuel getting to solenoid pump and the float drops to the bottom of the sump.

Have mpi2400 - never had any issues for last four years
this year was ok first start up , then upon next start
got e13 error - (no ignition) -any simple tests to narrow the issue?
suggested fixes?
