  • WATTS hot water recirc pump replacement

I have the WATTS Hot Water Recirc system install in my home. After 18 yrs, the pump has failed and needs to be replaced soonest. Has anybody used or can recommend one of the pumps on AMAZON instead of an Original WATTS pump which is twice the cost of those other brands on Amazon? Just had to ask before I parted with any $$$.

Hey there! After 18 years, your Watts pump has definitely proven to be reliable.

I don't have personal experience with these particular pumps, but here are a few things that might help with your decision:
    • Check that the flow rate (GPM) matches or slightly exceeds your current pump.
    • Make sure it fits your pipe size (commonly 1/2" or 3/4").
    • Confirm it's designed for hot water recirculation, not just general circulation.
    • Look for a decent warranty.
    • Stick to pumps with good reviews.

Your Watts pump lasting 18 years is impressive. Even if other options are more affordable, it's also worth considering the value of replacing it with the same OEM part, since you already know how well it performs and how long it can last.

If you do go with an Amazon option, it's worth looking at brands like Grundfos, Taco, or Laing. These brands are well known for making reliable pumps.

    Hope this helps!
