How to remove a shower insert

Does anyone know how to remove a shower insert without damaging it? I want to take it out of one bathroom and move it to another.

There is no cut an dried answer to your question because different styles or types of materials would use different mounting procedures.

Could you post additional information or perhaps some pictures?

I removed a shower stall a few years back and it consisted of three plastic panels, a shower pan, four pre-formed corners and a top frame. Stainless steel screw n nuts held the top frame in place as well as the corners. the whole shell fit into a groove on the inside of the shower pan again with screws but these were self tapping screws. the pan's drain screwed into the waste line like a typical sink drain - had to use a spanner wrench to unscrew this fitting - 2 inch pvc. This shower had no trap and fed directly into the waste pipe.

Do you mean the faucet cartridge or the faucet or the whole shower unit?
