    woos can't drop disposal

I have a kenmore 6011 disposal that has somethink klanking about in it and also needs a new mounting gasket installed - so decided to take on dropping it. Seems simple enough, however I have not been able to figure out how to get enough "purchase" to rotate the 2 flange pieces. Of the two part flange, I cannot get either one to rotate no-how.

    any clever suggestions.

bear in mind not a complete woos, but not a lot of upper body strength.

the bracket that holds the disposal to the sink waste is a ring with four"eyes." you should have been supplied an allen wrench that is angled a tad. the angled part fits into these eyes so that you can rotate the ring. if all fails you can use a 6 inch channel lock plier.

In most hardware stores you can buy a replacement disposal wrench.

When I run into one that won't release I generally use a hammer and lightly tap the lock ring a couple times.
