  • Copper pipe pressure...

There's a thread on another forum where a fellow wants to use copper pipe for a garage air line. Locating the compressor in a corner, routing a rubber line to the solid copper. The solid copper would run along a wall and then a hose reel attached to that end. Would regular copper and it's typical soldered fittings and the solder joint itself be okay with pressures that could be as high as 140#'s? Or would silver solder be better? Or would just iron pipe be the way to go?

bob, I have an air line running from my air compressor outside, 80 feet to my house where it splits into an air coupler outside and a hard extension inside. joints are regular lead free copper and flux and solder.

      Pipe pressure.

Good enough, HayZee. If it works, it works.
