  • Tub spout will not come off.

The stem out of the wall is not spinning as I turn the tub spout CC.
    Am I missing something?
    tried to upload image, failed.

    Hey there!

If the stem isn’t spinning when you turn the tub spout counterclockwise, you might be dealing with a couple of common issues. First, check if there’s a set screw on the spout—it’s often located underneath or on the back and might need to be loosened or removed. If that’s not it, make sure you’re turning the spout in the right direction and that it’s the right type for your setup (some screw on, while others slip on). Also, look for any debris or corrosion that might be causing a blockage. If everything seems right but the stem still won’t turn, there could be an internal issue with the valve, in which case it might need a closer look or a replacement. If you’re stuck, don’t hesitate to reach out to a plumber for help. Good luck with your repair!

I have not done anything with this spout waiting for you to respind. Seriously, I just walked away from this nightmare and there it still is. I will now take a close look! Thanks
