Latex Paint in the Basement

I need to do some painting in my basement and want to use latex paint. I'll be about 10 feet from my furnace and 13 from my how water heater. Will this be a safe distance, don't want any problems with fumes.

Latex paint has no flamable vapors so there is no problem.

In the building trades we generally call a novice an "apprentice", but you may take my word for it, no one is born with the knowledge. We all learn by reading, watching, asking and doing, and there are no dumb questions, just a lot of dumb mistakes because we failed to ask.
