I live in a condo, top floor of 3 story building, in SW VA. We have a crack in our textured plaster ceiling - see photo - where there has been contraction / expansion this winter. What is the best way to cover this crack?

To address the crack in your textured plaster ceiling, start by cleaning the area and removing any loose debris. Fill the crack with a high-quality joint compound or plaster repair product, smoothing it out with a putty knife. For larger cracks, use a plaster patching compound. Once the repair is dry, replicate the original texture using a texture spray or sponge, then prime and paint to blend with the rest of the ceiling. Keep an eye on the repair to ensure it holds; if the crack reappears or worsens, it may be worth consulting a professional to check for underlying issues. This should help restore your ceiling’s appearance and stability.
