I have a Lift-master 1/2 H.P. Model 1260 with a remote and 67LM keypad. The door operates just fine opening and closing with the remote but the keypad doesn't light up or work. The owner left their keypad code for me to use but I have never been able to get it to work, I thought most likely the battery was just dead but after putting a new one not sure if this is really the issue. Any ideas where to start.

Make sure its the right battery for the keypad and its in correct. If you can, check the voltage on the battery with a meter, I have seen new battery with no power.
If all good and still no back light, possible keypad failure and then replacement. -

You can also reset the code on the opener and remote to make sure it is correct.Comment
