I have a new chair that has a power cord that is giving me fits.. I can't figure out how to hide or protect it for about the 3 ft it need to go before it will again be behind something.. The surface that I am dealing with is a low pile carpet that is edged up to a laminate floor/trim.. I can't lift the carpet to put the cord under it (not safe) . The picture is looking down at the cord / carpet / laminate. with edging.. I have tried carpet tapes but they all have failed and become trip hazards.. ANY AND ALL SUGESSTIONS / IDEAS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED..

I've dealt with this by slipping a low‑profile PVC cable raceway under the carpet edge; the adhesive side sticks to the laminate and the cover slides over the cord, so it stays flat and out of the way. A thin rug runner can also hide the strip. When I set up my egg chair outdoor I used the same raceway and it worked fine.Last edited by Tidehe; 05-11-2026, 11:11 PM.
