  • Self Stick Vinyl Planks..

I am installing 4" x 36" self stick vinyl planks in a small area (approx 3' x 6') of a travel trailer. The plywood subfloor is extremely smooth and will be coated with an adheasive primer. QUESTION: Do I have to leave a small expansion gap around all outter edges (same as with floating floor) or since each plank will stick to subfloor, can the planks go right up to (snug against ) the wall? Asking because if a gap is required, I will have to get appropriate base moulding and stain it in advance..

Even though it's a small area (3'x6') you should leave a gap, but it would only need to be very small 1/8" or less.
The vinyl flooring will expand and contract over the top of the sub floor.
Little about a lot and a lot about a little.
