How many wires going to the stat and what post are they on.
Also these same wires are on what post at the unit. I think you are saying you
have a air handler with a air coil and electric heat?? Paul
It could be that the two wires are shorted out in the wayy. Go to furnace and disconnect all the low coltage wiring to board with the power off. Put a jumper fom r to y and see fit he ac comes on then.
