  • Operation Of Gas Fireplace in Power Outage

Is it possible to operate a Majestic Gas Fireplace Model 33BDVR during a power outage by connecting some level of battery power to the ignition module?

If your fireplace has the Honeywell Ignition module as I believe it does, then the answer is NO, it can not be operated with any type of battery without converting back to 120VAC. If it has the push button Piezo ignitor then yes it can be run with out a battery or power. However, You will still have no blower again without 120VAC.

    It is what it is.......

You could consider a backup electrical generator if this is a very important issue for you. Just a small one would be sufficient.

It is not important enough to install & maintain a generator. I was hopeful a battery could keep the fire operating even though it would not operate the fan. Thanks. Bert
