How does one remove an old Robert Shaw Quartz Movement D34000 Thermostat? It looks like it has survived since the mid/late 80s, but I don't see an obvious way to remove it for a modern replacement.
the faceplate un snaps off its base. below that you'll see two wires and the mounting screws. a honeywell stat is easy to install just make sure the base is level. and adjust the heat anticipator so your burner doesn't short cycle.
