    Furnace fan stays on

My Amana furnace fan stays on after the air conditioner unit has shut off. It used to run for a few seconds after the compressor shut off but now it doesn't stop unless you cut the juice to it. The White-Rogers thermostat seems to have OK batteries in it. Any clues? Thanks for you help.

It sounds like you probably have a fan relay stuck in the closed position. You would have to replace the fan relay.

Is the fan relay the same as the fan limit control? Thanks!

The fan relay and fan limit contol should be two separate switches, however on some units they use a combined fan and limit control.

If you open the control section of your furnace there should be a wiring schematic pasted on the inside of the cover.

No, the fan relay is a separate part.
