    Exhaust fan run length

Hi All. I am installing a new restroom fan (100 c.f.m, medium sized bathroom) and the closest reasonable wall to exhaust it through is 20 feet away. Is this too far? Putting it on the nearer wall of 8 feet is possible, but requires a HECK of a lot of work. Thanks!

Runing the exhaust 20 feet should not be a problem however, i would use metal duct rather than the plastic flex to reduce line friction.

As Lazypup said,.."20 ft. should be no problem," BUT, then again it will depend on how many twists and turns, etc along the way. These elbows and offsets, etc., all add up to determine the proper overall distance. Hube
