  • cold climate heat pump as only heat?

I live in New Hampshire, where the night time temps can get down to -20 f. My current primary source of heat is a 20 year old Monitor kero stove which puts out about 40,000 btu. I was thinking of replacing it with a ductless heat pump - ideally a floor unit. Is there anything out there that can do the job?

Please explain "ductless heat pump"? I'm not familiar with that.

I'm not an expert on heat pumps, but I'm referring to a 'mini split'. No ductwork.

Just a short look at the system tells me that I would not get rid of my Monitor. It does appear the units are really meant for small spaces not whole homes. One advantage is you get some air conditioning during summer time. Do some serious home work!
