    Hello

Can anyone tell me if the later 422 monitor heater have the fuseable link?

The two I have were connected externally and have a link in the fuel line but its not connected to the back of the heater like all others I have seen.

    Thanks

a lot of them I have seen has the fusible link valve at the rear. although not necessary its just another safety device. rarely if ever have I seen a monitor flare up inside a residence.

      fire safety valve (fuselink)

The answer to your question is No. Late model 422, all 441, 2400 and 2200 do not come with a fire safety valve attached. I do not know the reasoning behind this move by Monitor. It's a handy safety, however if your house has a fire that is hot enough to melt the lead handle you have some big issues.

      Stay warm, Tom

Thank you... thought about putting the fuseable link in but not sure if there is room on the later 422 heater.

Appreciate the info, just wanted to be sure it was correct if I connected them up to run off the internal tank w/o the fuseable link.
