    Monitor 422

    Hi:

Getting set to rebuild the burn chamber on my Monitor 422 & I have a question - I understand the reason to seal up all the screws that penetrate the chamber; do I want to coat the screw threads with glue before I install them or should I just cover the screw heads after they are installed???? Perhaps a dumb question but I want this to be right the FIRST time......

    Thanks,
    Don

    glue on screws

    Don,

Use a magnetic screw driver and dip the shaft of the screw into your glue. You don’t need much on the screw. When you screw it in it will coat the threads and seal the base of the screw. A little will come out the edge of the screw head which it what you want. Look at you combustion chamber before you take it apart. You will see some of the screws have glue on from the factory. That will give you an idea how much you need.
