  • Monitor has stopped production

I just spoke with our Monitor dealer here in Bethel Alaska and was told, Monitor Products Inc will no longer make oil heaters. They did state in the letter they will support existing heaters with parts. I could not figure out if that meant 422 and 441 series heaters or the newer 2200 and 2400. There was no time limit put on parts production. Monitor did say in a phone call they may be looking for a US manufacturing location in the future. There is still some question about the gas models. MPI has know about this since April of this year, but only released the news a week or so ago. Those of you that have M21, 22, 40 and 41 will be seeing electrical parts no longer being available. Fuel pumps and controllers have been very hard to get of late and it won’t get any better. Circuit boards and indicator circuits may no longer be around as well. At least there is Mathis Electric that will fix a board if they can. Fortunately, there are a number of parts that are interchangeable between older 20’s and 40’s and the 422 and 441 series. There is inventory in the system now and it will take a while to dry up.
